Lueneburg Heath, one of Germany’s largest and oldest nature reserve areas, extends to the West and the Niedersaechsische Elbtalaue Biosphere Reserve is situated to the East. The motorway links are perfect and a quick trip to Hamburg is virtually a must with just under a half-hour drive.
